About Me
Lauren Cranston Seaton, MSN, ARNP, PMHNP-BC
Hi there—I’m Lauren, the founder of Empatha Psychiatry and a board-certified Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) in Washington State, as well as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner-Board Certified (PMHNP-BC) through the ANCC.
I’ve spent more than 14 years in the world of mental health, and it’s been quite a journey. I’ve worked with kids and teens in inpatient psychiatry, supported adults in community clinics, taught nursing students as an adjunct faculty member, and provided care inside correctional facilities alongside first responders. Each of these experiences taught me the same truth: every person’s story is unique and deserves compassion, curiosity, and respect.
At Empatha Psychiatry, I provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and medication management, and I also weave in supportive therapeutic approaches when it’s helpful. While I don’t offer intensive weekly psychotherapy, I often integrate tools from CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness to equip clients with practical skills they can apply in their everyday lives.
My style? Down-to-earth, warm, and collaborative. I believe healing often happens when we feel safe enough to show up fully as ourselves, which means I’m not afraid to bring lightness and even a little humor into sessions when the moment calls for it.
At the core of everything I do is empathy. I believe empathy is my superpower—it’s what helps me connect deeply, see the human being beyond the symptoms, and create a safe space where you can feel truly heard. My goal is to walk alongside you as you build more balance, resilience, and hope for the future.
Lauren
